Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
N-Companion is made by SIA CONEL MARKETING, a company registered in Latvia ("we", "us"). For anything related to this policy, contact [email protected].
2. What the app processes
Meal analysis
When you log a meal — by photo, photo of a menu, barcode, voice, or text — the meal content (the image or the description) is sent securely to our servers to produce the nutrition analysis. These requests are processed without your identity: we do not attach your name, email, device identifier, or any account to them, and we do not keep your meal content after the analysis is delivered. Our servers retain only anonymised technical records (such as whether a request succeeded) that cannot be linked to you.
Your food history and profile
Your meal history, daily targets, nutrition focus, allergies, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have a copy. Deleting the app deletes them.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, activity and energy data is read on your device only and is used to show your daily balance. It is never transmitted to our servers.
Barcodes
When you scan a product barcode, the barcode number is sent to the Open Food Facts database to look up product information.
3. Service providers
We use a small number of processors to run the service: an AI provider (OpenAI) that performs the meal analysis on our behalf, and infrastructure providers that host our backend and this website (including Cloudflare). Content sent for analysis through our integration is not used by our AI provider to train their models. We do not sell or share your data for advertising — with anyone.
4. This website
conelmarketing.com is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers. If you email us, we receive what you send and use it only to reply.
5. Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because we intentionally do not hold data that identifies you, there is usually nothing on our side to retrieve or erase — your data is under your direct control on your device. If you believe we hold personal data about you (for example, from email correspondence), write to [email protected] and we will help. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Latvia this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).
6. Children
N-Companion is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process children's personal data.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this site.
